To Blog or Not To Blog

This semester, we used Blogger and Gmail (& Google Groups) instead of iLearn. Post your comments here about the success of that experience.

  1. I think it was a little bit easier to use ilearn. Although, after what you said about the school waisting money on ilearn when gmail and blogger is free, blogger and gmail is the way to go if thats the case. Blogger and gmail isn't hard to use by no means. It was just something I had to get used to.

  2. I think gmail and blogger are a better idea then ilearn. The school could save a lot of money if they didn't use ilearn. I had never used a blogger before, but it was easy and it was your own informal opinion.

  3. OMG I hate ilearn Tech needs to do away with it. It constantly fucks up and some of my grades have fell because of it. HOORAY for gmail and blogger. Plus isn't it free and if so wouldn't that help cost and result in a tuition drop unless they deside to get more shuttles. Hence, spend money on worthless shit,

  4. I liked using Gmail, Google Groups, and Blogger this semester! I thought blogging was a really great way to respond to what we were doing in class. You can't do something such as that in Ileran, however, I think Ilearn should stay. For Science and Math Ilearn is the way to go with it's online grading system and quizzes...etc. English stands above all the other subjects if you ask me. To me it's the most human of them all because you get to express yourself through your writing. I'm glad we all had to blog and I really had fun with it. It was a good break from a journal haha :)

  5. I liked using gmail. I've had too many problems with ilearn in the past. I also loved the idea of blogging. It's a great way to assign free writing and extra credit!

  6. I think blogger and the Google groups were a lot better for this course than ilearn would be. It took some time to get familiar with but it seemed to be really interactive. It made it easier to ask questions and see other people’s questions as well as being able to see your classmate’s opinions.

  7. I didn't like the idea of blogger at the begining but I warmed up to it. It is easy to use and it was just one more username and password that I had to store in the back of my head. ilearn is tempermental... and the other sites have professionals to fix problems, if there ever are problems, in a timely manner.

  8. I loved the blogger. I think that it was cool getting on there and sharing my thoughts, and actually looking back at what I said a month or two ago, and how much things have changed right now. It was a great way to do assignments especially because kids now a days use the computer so much instead of notebook paper assignments! :)! KEEP BLOGGER!
